So, what do you really think of Mike Conley’s extension?

by Micah Hart

Matt Moore is a terrific hoops blogger at various sites like Hardwood Paroxysm and CBS Sports who also happens to be a passionate Grizzlies fan.

The Grizzlies, as you may know, beat Monday’s deadline to sign members of the Draft class of 2007 by a few minutes to sign point guard Mike Conley to a five-year, $45-million-dollar contract.

Moore is not on board with the move, to say the least, and took to Twitter to voice his frustrations.

The tirade is epic, and has now been preserved the way all things should, via a Tumblr page.

Wow. The Grizzlies probably have a world of confidence in point guard Mike Conolly. From personal perspective I don’t think Mike Conolly is worth that amount of money the Grizzlies are investing in him. At best, Mike Conolly is a serviceable point guard on any given NBA team but preferably a bench player. In the West, packed with a lot of great point guards, Mike Conolly doesn’t match-up well night to night with most of the guards that he encounters. I wonder what would propel the GM to make a move this aggressive and assuredly.
