This weekend in a … nod

by Micah Hart

By now, if you are an NBA fan, hopefully you have seen Blake Griffin‘s ridonkulous dunk(s) on Saturday. If not, here’s a little refresher:

The best part of the night came after one of Griffin’s dunks though, with Amar’e Stoudemire (whose 39 points in a Knicks win shouldn’t be overlooked) at the free-throw line. Roll it!

By no means do I think Amar’e is past his prime, nor incapable of still throwing down devastating dunks of his own — but they are a little fewer and further between these days. To me, that nod was a bit of a passing of the torch to Griffin — Amar’e basically saying, “Yeah, I used to do that to people all the time. It’s pretty fun, eh?”

Imagine how good the Clippers will be next season after they add another No. 1 overall pick.
