Kobe Bryant and LeBron James have a lot in common — they both have MVP trophies, they both have puppets, and together they inspire 95% of all comments on NBA.com blogs.
And here is something else — they are both expanding their empires to multimedia platforms.
Kobe is set to star in a film directed by Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, Sin City) that will drop All-Star Weekend. Entitled “The Black Mamba“, the movie will promote Kobe’s Zoom Kobe IV shoe and his True Colors apparel line. Here is a trailer:
While Kobe is going Hollywood, LeBron is getting animated. James is launching a YouTube channel for his new animated series “The LeBrons“, based on the characters he played in a series of Nike commercials. Here’s what he has to say about it:
