Well, well, well. The ghost of Kendrick Perkins reared its head tri-fold yesterday, when the Chris Paul-to-Los Angeles Clippers trade became official after Chris Kaman passed his physical. It seems to me that these three guys are stoked.
This guy on the other hand, looks downright despondent. God help him.

Forget basketball for a second…would you be smiling if you had to move from LA to New Orleans???
Pictures Do Lie!! Anyone that knows anything about these people would understand. Kaman just got married and has lived in La for the past 8 years or so. Give him at least a week for his shock to turn into excitement. But also if you watch the press conference where these photos were taken he says he’s looking forward to making something happen and has a few smiles in there. Eric Gordon rarely smiled when he first came to the clippers. The only reason we’ve seen him smile is because we’ve had three years to capture a few. Yet once again in the press conference you’ll see him talk about him looking forward to building something in NO. Finally Aminu. He never smiles. He always looks that way. The entire year last year in LA he looked that way. Yet once again in the conference where these photos were taken. He smiles when holding the jersey. Give them a break! and finally, finally, Chris Paul always has a smile on his face for photos. No matter where he is. A picture is worth a thousand words because people make so many freaking stories that aren’t reality that it takes a thousand words to condense each story. Good luck to all four of you!
GO HORNETS!!!
Thats so funny. They all look absolutly shatterd
man…thats the prime example of depression
This is a joke – these guys get paid millions to play ball and they want to bitch and moan…
Occupational hazard gentleman – get over it…
I COULDN’T AGREE WITH YOU MORE! THIS IS SAD!! I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR THE LONGEST… ESPECIALLY WITH THEM GOING ON WITH THE LOCK FOR SO LONG OVER MILLIONS OF DOLLARS?? THEY NEED TO BE GLAD THAT THEY ARE GETTING PAID BECAUSE THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE LOSING THEIR JOBS RIGHT NOW WHO ACTUALLY WORK! THEY SHOULD APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE GETTING PAID THAT MUCH FOR ENTERTAINING PEOPLE….THEY DON’T WORK, THEY PLAY BALL…. I’M SORRY, THAT IS NOT A JOB…IT IS A SPORT AND IT’S ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE PEOPLE.
Why do people feel the need to use all caps to make a point??
The amount you get paid should reflect the amount of work you put into what you do and the level of skill required to do what you do. Pro sportsmen work harder than most other people out there so do put them down because its a sport
They dont even want to touch the jersey. Aminu and Gordon can really make a name for themselves in N.O. They just dont realize the opportunity yet. As for Kaman he knew he was ghost anyway. Smile Boys
Aminu – Promising rookie last year, who already had a name for himself.
Gordon – borderline all star, def already considered a star.
Kaman – He was an ALLSTAR 2 seasons ago, Still in his prime, and still a great player, basically puts up 20/10.
Your comment – Aminu/gordon know thier opportunity and kaman is def no ghost. Your forgetting in a league where there arent many great centers the exception would be ( dwight howard ) that a decent center is a commodity, if you havent noticed Kwame brown is still playing, and hes not exactly amazing, kaman is 5x better than brown, so there is no way in hell he’s done
This is craizy, they has the most funny faces I ever seen. they have to be grateful to be somewhere doing what they like it & making millions.
Seriously I’d be cheesing like Chris Paul if I went from N.O. to Sunny C.A.
Its like going from hell to paradise!!!
You obviously have never been to New Orleans… Living in New Orleans is wonderful! – LA is nice too, but I’d prefer living where the food, music, architecture, and people are authentic!
Al-Farouq Aminu is wearing CP3′s old number. Copycat!
LOOOL they look like mug shots!
Now that is funny. ha
Probably they were got paid for making those faces ahahahah.
They know they’ll be top cats in NOH so, why the long faces? It’s way better to have the spotlight then have to always dish the ball to someone who’s skills are being worked out (like they were doing in LA).
@ Deven: CP3 is wearing Al-Farouq Aminu’s no.3 jersey as well …
the only thing missing from behind those 3 clowns is the height chart used in mug shots when arrested.
The look on the faces tells the whole story. It’s as if they were sent to the generals…you know the team that gets their butts beat by the globetrotters.
You two commentors speaking about “get over it” and “they get paid millions” sound like the typical, jealous, broke and miserable athlete haters. What the less fortunate fail to realize is that once you have a lot of money, money is not an issue, anymore. They’re playing for the love of the game, at this point, not just the dollars. Who wouldn’t want to play for a contender? You put in hours upon hours of hard work (and yes, whether you want to admit it or not, any professional sport is a job. You have to report to practice daily, just like any other job and the physical stress they face is much more than you face, sitting at your desks with donuts and snacks for 8 hours. Any athlete, pro or not, knows it takes hard work and dedication to be an athlete) pouring in your blood, sweat and tears only to play for a team with no chance at the hardware. It tolls on you. Just because they love what they do for a living doesn’t mean it’s not a job. You don’t have to wake up miserable everyday, hating what you do for a living for it to be a “job.” How about you two “get over it.”
And as far as the lockout, would you like if your employer took money out of your pocket? How about they dock a few dollars out of your check, every paycheck? Insignificant enough, but would you like it? Chances are you wouldn’t. Just because the figures are in the millions doesn’t nullify the principle of business. That’s how the rich become poor. You must track all money coming and going. Small losses add up to huge financial issues.
why they do look happy. in fact, gordon looks like he’s holding back tears of joy. lol!
who won the trade? Hornets did, hands down.
NO wasn’t going anywhere with cp3 and the clips were stuck with a “so so” line up. clips got their wish, hornets on the other hand has some of the right parts to be a contender, just needs a couple more good deals.
damn. they look really sad
Grow up…you’re getting paid to do what we go to park to do for fun with our buddies after work…making millions of dollars to play ball is a lot of fallen stars dream…i know a lot of people that are good ballers but just didn’t make it including myself and they are mugged up because they don’t want to play in Nola…we would be happy on a d-league team let along a nba team…its right what they say about athletes you guys are such spoiled bratz. by the way its not that bad down here
I wish people who aren’t prudent NBA fans would stop shoving their jealous yet pitiful sob stories on NBA blogs in protest of disgruntled players who make more than they make in a year, in a single week. Money aside, these guys work hard to train themselves to perfect their kung-fu and they entertain millions around the world with their Kung-fu, raking Billions of dollars for the league and they deserve their small piece of the pie. They didn’t get lucky, they earned their salaries, unlike many overpaid untalented individuals in Hollywood who no one complains about. They aren’t just sad that they have to move from LA, they are sad because they now work directly for DAVID STERN, the ultimate overseer. No one wants to be the pawn of a flawed bureaucracy, at least not one who has spent his whole life calibrating his Kung-fu. Yes yes count your blessings, I get it, but this isn’t Russia or North Korea, this is America and they deserve every ounce of respect that they have earned.
Hahahaha. It does look like mug shots. Gordon is crying. This is his best face during the whimpering. Goodbye Hollywood. Hello Jazzy New Orleans. Hahaha. I would cry to. I would bawl my eyes out everyday!
come on guys! it’s time to prove the clippers that they are wrong in trading you..
cp3 would look better in a lakers jersey
aminu seems doesnt care, he’s just sophomore/subtitute wherever he is.
gordon is nearly cry,
kaman looks like fugitive escape from la
Aminu looks like a sad dog, Gordon looks like a kid who was forced to eat spinach and finally kaman looks like a serial rapist
why is ronald mcdonald so sad in that picture and why is he losing his hair?
