Maybe not the best, but definitely the longest buzzer-beater of the year

Here is North Carolina State’s Lorenzo Brown hitting an 80-foot shot to beat the halftime buzzer against North Carolina, and given that they’d go on to lose 74-55, it was pretty much their highlight of the night:



I had an intramural game in grad school that played out almost exactly the same way — a guy on our team hit a shot from almost our own basket to beat the half, which made the score something like 31-9 in the other team’s favor. So thanks for bringing up painful memories, Lorenzo.
