The NBA is serious business, and all the moreso in a compacted season where every game on the schedule has extra meaning.
That said, it’s nice to see teams still have a little fun, as the Celtics did last night after winning the opening tip against the Lakers:
Kevin Garnett didn’t make the All-Star team this year for the first time in forever (1999 actually), but perhaps he can make the Pro Bowl next year as a long-snapper.
I like the Celtics sense of humor here, but for opening-tip hijinx, nothing will ever beat the Spurs playing hack-a-Shaq.
