Kobe Bryant missed his second straight game Monday night, leaving Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum to carry the load for a team hanging on to a slim division lead. As expected — to the Lakers coaching staff and fan base anyway — the two combined for 43 points and 20 rebounds to lead L.A. to a comeback win over the New Orleans Hornets.
But — and there is generally a “but” when Metta World Peace is involved — not before almost blowing the rally effort in the final seconds.
All I got is: WHY? Then again, why ask why when Peace is involved.
