What can you say about Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. I am sure amongst his friends he is a heckuva guy, but when it comes to basketball, he is one ornery son of a gun. Before tonight’s Game 2 of the Spurs-Jazz first-round playoff series, Popovich received his trophy for being named the NBA’s Coach of the Year, a ceremony he appeared to enjoy about as much as you would a documentary about feline AIDS:
Now, I know for a fact that Popovich has a sense of humor; maybe he is playing a little pre-game round of hot potato with his assistant coaches?
Lighten up Pops!

Maybe he wanted a Kia Sorento too? Chandler got one…
Haha, I love how all the coaches just ran away from him. A very well deserved award though. I really like your material. Just stumbled upon the site today. Feel free to check out my blog for daily analysis and predictions of the NBA Playoffs:

Thanks! Keep up the good work!
you just stumbled upon nba.com???
That’s just how Pop is. He is actually humbled by the award; however, he despises awards which single out individuals when it’s really the entire organization has lead to his success. What’s really fun is to watch him go on a rant about overconfidence…that’s what really terrorizes him.
hah just stumbled upon the blog. wasn’t even on the site or anything.
