Lakers rookie Robert Sacre, the “Mr. Irrelevant” of the 2012 NBA Draft (aka the last pick), made a name for himself in the preseason with his physical play and impressed veterans Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol with his energy. He got 197 minutes of playing time in the exhibition season, was seventh on the team in scoring and was a nice little story.
As of today, Sacre has seen 19 minutes of action, mostly in mop-up duty during blowouts. Still, he’s generated quite a following for his exuberant celebrations on the bench of his teammates’ plays. You know, of course, that it’s only a matter of time for that kind of behavior to get its own YouTube highlight and, viola!, we have one now.
Mark Madsen remains perhaps the most famous dancing Laker of all time, but he kept his moves to the championship celebration parades. Who else comes to mind as famous dancers on the bench? We welcome your thoughts below.
Catch up on every single game-winning buzzer beater during the season and see how it rates on the Horry Scale.

Ronny Turiaf
More like DJ Mbenga
Shaq
Ronny!
He is the best team player in the NBA, he deserves a spot on any team because he is so jacked for everyone all the time.
Dont forget about Turiaf
He looks like Sucre from Prison Break.
Who can forget Mark Madsen?
*voilà!
Robert Sacre, the man behind the man… behind the man.
we found our new luke walton! YEAH
THE WHITE MAMBA RETURNS AND STRIKES AGAIN!
whats the name of that song bein played….love it
This is a new role for the players that takes time much on the bench!!
He’s dancing cause he is happy the Lakers are 7-7 at the start of the season!!
fun guy…
i hope the kid get some playing time, its nice to see and watch he still enjoys the game even on the bench. keep being positive you’ll get your turn.
Robert Sacre, the man!
lol seriously noticed this guy breaking out on the bench a few times, wondered when he would get a mention. the man!
I still believe Mark madsen was the best dancing laker…
Mark MAdsen
aahhah he is cute!!!!
Adam morrison
the song’s is the barbara streisand song i believe, but the guy just covered up her name with sacre’s.
I have watched every Lakers game this season, and I was SURE that Sacres’ celebration dances would make it onto Shaqtin A Fool…
Glad to see a player still excited about the game. If I was in his shoes, I would be doing the same. He maybe sitting in the Bench but he still in the NBA, getting paid to travel, practice and meet all the NBA players.
Ahah! Finally!
I’ve pushed Shaq last couple of weeks to put Robert Sacre in Shaqtin a fool. Didn’t make it. (Tweet @shaq)
Anyway, i’m happy to see that peeps have noticed him dancing around the sideline. I started looking at him during the Spurs win @Lakers. He’s awesome!
He probably won’t dance in next Lakers game.
And what did it get him? Sent to the D league. D’Antonio sucks and the Lakers management sucks. Shows how they treat positive people who care about their teammates and the game.
Oh well, at least he is doing well in the D league. Maybe he will get a call up later in the year. Keep it up Mr. Sacre!!! We fans appreciated you and your positive attitude!!!!
Those are some dope moves Robert Sacre, and imma let you finish… but Joakim Noah has some of the BEST dance moves of ALL-TIME.
We need to put a mic on Sacre for the “Mic-ed up” portion when games are aired on TNT, NBA TV etc. Would love to hear what he says while dancing.
Miami Heat need a big center ! go to miami SACRE!!!!
I think,He gona be fit very much to Lakers Girls squad!
Sacre the mascot and Sacre the lucky charm
Well thats what happens when you get Duhon on your team. Even though it looks funny and seems supportive, I really think that it’s the main reason Sacre had to go play in the D-League. How can you be that demonstrative on the bench and be taken seriously, this ain’t college.
