Mamba Gives The Stare In Toronto

by Zettler Clay IV

Around here, we like to freeze-frame moments that encapsulate a pivotal moment in basketball time. From the Lakers’ camp this season, Pau Gasol already gave us the shrug. What do we have this time around? How about a peeved, er, contemplative Kobe isolated while the rest of the team is gathered:

kobe-dwight

This was early in the Lakers-Raptors contest, before Dwight Howard got himself ejected, before the Lakers’ furious late-game rally, before…another loss.

With Chicago and Memphis looming next, this still visual might get more company.

I honestly won’t be surprised if Kobe asks for a trade at the end of the season, same thing he did when the Lakers struggled before. He has to realize this game, the blame was actually mostly on him, he shot 10/32 from the field, 3/12 from 3 and 6 turnovers. I saw the game, some of those shots were tough shots which for most players would be considered a stupid shot. Kobe has to start feeding on Nash, give Nash the ball, get open and you can get an easy 2, instead of jacking up tough fadeaways. You have one of the best PG of all time, use him to your advantage.

Well said homie.. Im tired of all of these Kobe Fans who cant, or refuse to realize that the Lakers WILL NOT be successful as long as Kobe continues to be dominant, and constantly demanding the ball by jus standing aroiund and waving his hand in the air. Kobe leads the league in fga by a WIDE MARGIN, not just a few baskets. How the F is that possible with the plethera of talent on this roster? His redicuous average of shots per game has to be reduced. He has to realize that proving to the rest of the world that even at this age, he is still capable of leading the NBA in scoring, is NOT IMPORTANT. Just like he said in an interview with Stephen A Smith, he wont stick around in the NBA just averaging below 20ppg. But why not if its has a strong possibility in fixing most of the problems that the Lakers are facing now? There has to be a better balance with this team. The contested fadeaways, and the one on twos, have to stop. One game, Kobe has FORTY shot attempts,, 30something another, 28 another game, its just rediculous. And he wonders why 90% of the NBA would rather be someone elses teamatte. He MUST sit back, and let Nash do his job, and hit the open man. Ive been a Submarine Mechanic for the last five years, and now that im out, i finally get to see a full season of basketball, but that hasnt been to exciting seeing this Laker squad fall apart. What poeple dont realize is that the main problem is…… JIM F’n BUSS!!! He must go, asap!

Imagine Jordan being on that team instead of Kobe. Nuff said.
