Wroten’s Highlights Turn South Fast

VIDEO: Tony Wroten blows two dunks against the Milwaukee Bucks

It hasn’t been the easiest year for Sixers fans. Aside from an early-season hot start and Allen Iverson’s jersey retirement, times have been bleak in the City of Brotherly Love. Be not mistaken, all isn’t dark in Philly.

Michael Carter-Williams is leading the Rookie of the Year race and Tony Wroten, 20, is a second-year guard with the penchant for the dazzle.

Did I mention that Wroten is a 20-year-old second year guard? Whether he giveth or taketh, you never know what you’re going to get when it comes to his playmaking.

On Wednesday night against the cross-country Kings, he was at it again. In one play, he gave us the Tony Wroten experience that encapsulates their season.

It’s good to know he can laugh at himself a little. On another note, the Sixers dropped their 18th straight contest.

Underrated young player probably because he’s on a bad team.

  2. D says:

Why is anyone talking about the can’t finish Wroten when The Greek Freak was able to stand up from a seated position and block that second shot. What hustle!

  3. Javier says:

I’ve been rooting for Wroten because I’ve always thought he is gonna be the next best thing… These type of things can happen to anyone, but the fact that the team is on an enormous losing streak makes it that much worse…

  4. Rav says:

Shouldn’t Giannis’s slapping of the rim (while the ball was still in the cylinder after Wroten’s missed dunk) have been called offensive interference? Anyway, great recovery by Giannis to block the next shot.
