Kyrie Irving celebrates his contract extension

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — The first real news of last night’s free agency period came not from a report or an agent, but directly from the principles involved, as Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and point guard Kyrie Irving tweeted news of a long-term contract extension…

According to our David Aldridge, it’s a 5-year, $90 million extension for Irving, a max deal for the 22-year-old point guard. And how does one celebrate such a huge deal? Late last night, Kyrie’s former high school teammate Dexter Strickland posted the following video on Instagram with the caption, “5 o’clock this morning this dude wakes me up, I’m half sleep tryna celebrate with him lol, yal congratulate my brother @k1irving! #DreamsComeTrue”
