Kobe Bryant attempts to inspire US soccer team

ALL BALL NERVE CENTERKobe Bryant visited Brazil and the World Cup a few weeks ago, but he is still apparently following the games and rooting for the U.S. Men’s National Team. Yesterday, before the U.S. took on Belgium in an elimination game, Kobe took to Instagram to try and inspire the US. The message seemed to be that nothing is easy. As Kobe wrote in the caption: “On this day 18yrs ago the hornets told me right after they drafted me that they had no use for me and were going to trade me. #thanku #Believe #usmnt #lakers #jwest #drbuss #letsGo #USA”

(For what it’s worth, Team USA lost 2-1 to Belgium. The lesson here? We can’t all be Kobe Bryant.)

You can tell that Kobe’s still bitter about the Hornets attitude after 18 years. He’s the closest thing we’ll ever see to MJ.

I think Kobe is more relating to the U. S. being an underdog on the world cup stage as he was in a sense to Charlotte, Kobe being to young to be relevant from out of the gate but what do I know about what the Hornets thought, I am a Laker fan since 1969 and a Kobe fan since 1996 Kobe in my estimation is every bit as good as MJ , and I think that the U.S. soccer team can be as good as any other team in the world cup competition with the right coaching and the proper motivation of which I think they have both, with some perseverance. Hopefully they can prove themselves like Kobe did A.
