Robin Lopez loses staring contest to Harry the Hawk, reacts poorly

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — As we’ve noted many, many times before, Portland center Robin Lopez has a long-standing (and hilarious) anti-mascot policy. This did not escape the notice of Atlanta Hawks mascot Harry the Hawk, who recently publicly announced he was ready for RoLo when the Blazers visited Atlanta.

Well, the reckoning came last weekend as the Blazers visited Atlanta, where Harry the Hawk organized a group of pro-mascot protesters to greet Lopez, and then challenged RoLo to a staring contest. (Side note: Should you be allowed to be in a staring contest if you don’t have working eyelids?)

Who is that white bunny mascot? He must be the mascot for one of the teams that has a name that doesn’t make sense. 🙂
