Kobe isn’t thrilled with the Lakers celebrations

ALL BALL NERVE CENTERKobe Bryant may be out for the season after shoulder surgery, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to go quietly.

But before we get to Kobe, let’s rewind to Sunday night, when the Lakers beat the Celtics in overtime, 118-111. The win was just the 14th of the season for the Lakers, and during Jeremy Lin‘s postgame interview, Jordan Hill and Nick Young showed up to blow off some steam, in funny fashion…

VIDEO: Lakers postgame

Back to Kobe. Last night, Bryant appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and Kimmel played Kobe the tape of Lin, Young and Hill. And let’s just say Kobe didn’t seem thrilled about it…

  1. Vlad Putin says:

Time to retire and count your money Koba…you’re holding these guys back. Get over yourself. It took you how many more games and how much worse was your shooting percentage to catch Jordan?

    • inversion says:

      AMEN

    • ism says:

      percentage schmercentage.

you don’t seem to realise how huge the gap between those young players and a legend like kobe is.

they were fooling around, they were acting like clowns. nothing bad, but that’s what it was.

how should kobe have reacted like?

      • ism says:

to clarify: especially nick young seems to be a funny dude, but in a very immature, undignified way. i don’t mean to judge, but as his teammate, i might also find it childish and annoying.

    • Jj says:

Only about 50 more games if you count games played and games started.

    • "Smart" NBA fan says:

time to shut up and respect a legend in basketball little kids……

    • Putin Sucks says:

LOL Kobe* haters make me laugh. instead of blindly hating one of the greatest to ever play the game why don’t you just shut the hell up and enjoy him while he’s still here? Holding them back? Everyone on that team sucks there is NOTHING to hold back. Oh and btw I’m pretty sure he’s not amused because they have one of the worst records in the league and they were celebrating that hard over beating a team with the same kind of record.

  2. STLK says:

@Vlad Putin Shut UP, You dumb envious cockroach.

  3. Christian says:

I think that the way they are playing there is no way they should not feel happy. Even the clippers got better than the lakers. Giddy up lakers no time to have these kind of interviews

  4. Christian says:

    More training less laughter

  5. kbx says:

It may be tough but its time to retire Kobe. How was it in pulp fiction…. you may feel a slight sting. That’s pride fu*king with you. Fu*k pride. Pride only hurts. It never helps. You fight through that sh*t ; – )

  6. Nick says:

What’s the big deal? They won a game – in overtime – against an arch rival? Seems to me like they have some morale! It may show some mental toughness that despite all of the losses they can celebrate a win. The question is, what happens now?

    • skrutz says:

Exactly! What are they supposed to do… just mope around because Kobe has a stick up his butt? Every win is worth celebrating, even more so when they’re so rare!

    • Simple says:

They keep losing like the pathetic team they are. There is no “question”. It’s blatantly obvious.

  7. HNIC says:

    Sad, yet so true.

  8. Missing AI says:

feel sad for kobe, he has bunch of clowns in the team. if lakers want to win again they should get rid of these guys starting with nick young

  9. jdub455 says:

you are shaq’s sidekick Kobe… you aint gonna beat the kings and blazers that time if it werent for shaq… anyway, let your teammates celebrate… they can win without ya… ball hog,..

  10. Kobe Lover says:

Kobe is the best. Kobe can do it all. Kobe is the greatest……But Kobe can carry or win a Champion by himself. Retire cause no one wants to play with you

  11. IvAiHi says:

Ugghghghhhh… I hate the current Lakers “fans”. It feels like the bandwagoners changed to Clippers fans or are on Jeremy Lin’s d!#&. All I see on facebook is how “great” Jeremy Lin is, and all the attention he gets for no reason other than being Asian. I’m Asian too, but I’m not jumping on that stupid train.

Kobe has every right to be annoyed with his teammates.

  12. Kod says:

It’s ok to for Kobe to be mad at the team… They have to build a winning culture even with Kobe past couple years due to his injury it has not happened. It’s frustrating to see teammates celebrating like we are doing this for social media or other sort of stuff. I feel like it portrays mediocrity is ok rather than a winning culture.. It takes years to build and I hope the present team build that for LA.. Youngsters need to know every day you have to work hard to be a superstar or even close to been one..

  13. Letsgetreal says:

Kobe maybe at time a surly fella but he was no slouch even when he came back from the archilles injury that everybody
said he should retire from. You do0n’t have to like him. Yes he may be a ball hog. However you have to respect he has been an outstanding player for theLlakers and the league and he maybe not the greatest player today but he still has great basketball left in him. The stats speak for themselves , its not a likability contest.

  14. laker4life says:

Nothing wrong with celebrating however keep things in perspective, we are one of the worst teams in the league. Kobe I love watching you play I love your professionalism and your competitive spirit. You are the and will always be one of the best to ever play this game and no one or nothing written or discussed will ever change that!

  15. big jay says:

Kobe needs to retire n let th young fellas enjoy the sport……. nobody said all tht whn he thght he was hvng a lil fun in Denver now did they? Hmmmmm

  16. Cody Kneidl says:

Why does it matter if they “cheer”? They earned it! Maybe they aren’t the best team now, But really hate on them Because they want to cerebrate a win?

  17. dustydreamnz says:

Nothing wrong with celebrating a win, not like they’ve had many this season. The Celtics aren’t the worst team, they’re in the running for a Playoff spot.

  18. Alli says:

kobe naturally have an issue with his team winning and he did not play to get the win…its like a lost to him

  19. John Lee says:

To be fair, Jeremy Lin didn’t wasn’t really part of the clowning as the Hill and Young were.

They definitely need to go after this season!

  20. RJ says:

Kobe seems to have forgotten that he was a young man once. At this point in his career he is like the cranky old man that hates seeing young kids having fun; especially without him. To be honest the Lakers Team is having more fun Win or Lose without Kobe and he hates that. When he was there he took the fun out of everything for the rest of the guys. The elephant in the room is they are happy he is gone and hope he doesnt come back to ruin the morale.

    • desert11eagle says:

Kobe has never acted like that in front of a television camera… “Do you guys want to talk to Jeremy, or should I do it?” Was a nice hint that even the interviewer was done being patient with their ignorant behavior during his On Air interview.

  21. atlas says:

To be a true leader one has to know all problems versus solutions of discourse to disenfranchisement of not only themselves but to those who look to them for support as a leader. Kobe has always been a hard but firm leader but he also lack tenacity to which Lin brings to the Lakers franchise. The problem with this year’s season was too many egos play at different levels for their own self course of action and not for the love of the game or having fore-thought for the fans who support the franchise. That win was a release of frustration for not only those players but the coach who order them to win with the leadership of Lin… which he prove. The problem was that their is an epic battle going on between certain venues behind the scene that are ‘etomidate mechanism of action.’ Having just one plan and nothing else left their season as it is…a wash yet to set{lottery}. What ever the GM decides is the final decision to which all players and provisional tactics must be set aside for the Board of Regents to decide upon if needed.
Meanwhile I’m lovin’ that “Worthy 42” jersey!!
    Be blessed, everyone!

  22. Franck says:

Come on now Kobe, the Lakers can pout right back at you for being on jimmy kimmel while the lakers are losing, Kobe you can also travel with the team, mentor them.. rather than just give up on them. take a page out of KGs book. Just saw his press confrence looks like he is going to get right into it with this team. Kobe alienates himself and puts himself above the team because he cares more about his own legacy than the current lakers.

  23. WakeUpLAFanz! says:

Basketball is a team sport. Anyone remember when the lakers got beat by Detroit? I think it was 2004. Anyways, lakers had 4 stars on the team. Shaq, Kobe, Gary Payton and Karl Malone. I remember the papers predicting how many games the Lakers would win it in. The Lakers were the HEAVY favorite but Detroit smacked us around and won it all. It was Detroits effort (mostly),team chemistry (2nd) and talent that won it for them. These guys are building chemistry. I love a lot of the players we have. Lin, Hill, Young, Davis, Boozer, etc. CELEBRATE THAT WIN!!! BUILD THAT CHEMISTRY!! GO LAKERS FOREVER!!!!!.

  24. jjjjjjjj says:

C’mon kobe, dont be such a drag.

  25. Lastmadcow says:

Nick Young and Jordan hill are a bunch of fools and kobe knows that

  26. Jnari says:

The lakers have hurt themselves in the last 2 seasons by signing zero players with championship experience and hardly any players with even playoff experience, because they now don’t have anyone on that team that knows what it’s like to win in the NBA. Other than Kobe who’s hurt and Byron who’s coaching who on that team knows how to win? These guys only know how to lose and they don’t know what it’s like to work as hard as you have to in order to win. And not just win a game, or a playoff series, or a championship, but to do it multiple times back to back. This is why people are crazy to say that the Lakers are better when Kobe doesn’t play, Kobe’s presence alone changes the attitude of your basketball team not to mention his play on the court [ barring in mind that he shoots too much at this elevated age ]. You can’t mess around with Kobe around, you have to give everything to the cause which is to win at all costs.

These guys have clearly gone rogue, and it makes even more sense that Byron has been messing with the minutes so much because that’s his only form of control over players who have given up on a season. I loved watching this team early in the season even when we were losing because they were playing hard every night even when they were getting their butts kicked, and when could you actually say that about a lakers team? But now they don’t even play hard, Byron has to be losing his mind. He needs some players that know how to win in this league. There are some pieces there, I love Boozer off the bench I think that’s a perfect role for him, Black is a beast, Price is a great 3rd pg, Clarkson or Lin could both be good backups, you got Randle coming back. I would like to see us focused on some fairly experienced guys who have played in the big games this offseason. Go after Rondo first but if you miss get a Mo Williams who has been in big games. Get a Danny Green who has won titles before and can shoot and play D, or a Paul Pierce who respects the hell out of Kobe. You just need some more guys who has their eyes on the prize, and I hope Mitch and Jim are looking at what they put on the court and thinking about turning it around. For me, Hill and Young both have to go.

  27. True Lakers Fan says:

Kobe is a winner. Sure Lakers won a tight game….and should they be happy??? Yes, but don’t go around clowning. Keep things in perspective. Your record shows that you are one of the worst teams in the league…..so you are a loser. On top of that you didn’t even beat a plus .500 team!!! Be happy you got the win, but the fact is you still are one of the worst teams in the league. That is why Kobe is mad and he has a right to be.

  28. 1900 says:

Kobe is one of the greats of this game but like all greats there comes a time to admit your diminishing skills and step aside. These young Lakers are no Kobe Bryant’s but then they never pretended to be. They play hard and when they win they celebrate, they’re happy, how can anyone find fault in that? Management hired them as the only players who were willing to play with a fading star who won’t quit or step aside to allow the real building process to begin in earnest. How much longer will the Lakers endure Kobe’s stubbornness? These young ballplayers are far better than their armchair critics so they are owed a modicum of respect.

  29. lornet says:

the thing is that when you have this type of record, you don’t celebrate that much. you don(t take the shot at the last second if you won the game by 10. you can’t dunk like a crazy and celebrate it when your team is trailed.
some obvious non written nba rules that’s all.
They can be happy to get a win of course, but this.. lol
    they just look like fools

  30. 4pt Range says:

3/4 of those celebrators will not be in the league within the next two years. Kobe is right to be like WTF.

    • 4pt Range says:

TheLakers have 99 problems and Kobe is not one of them, you all have no concept for some reason. Go pull Dwights cape fan-boys.

      • Skrutz says:

Uh… Kobe is a $25,000,000 problem. He’s the reason those players are on the team. Get some perspective and realize he IS an issue.

  31. todd says:

Those guys let off a little steam because a horrible season, team that is a bunch of players that were discarded from other teams. They are professionals but are also humans. Be real Kobe!

Been a Laker Fan since Wilt dated a 1,000 women. Kobe is Kobe! He needs to retire but ownership gave him all that money for next year. Three years, three major injuries. He needs to take lessons from Tim Duncan but his ego is so big he won’t and will retire after another injury or losing season.

I don’t like the Celtics and wanted a victory but also wanted a lose to keep our chances of getting a good draft pick. I AM just glad I can not afford season tickets because then I would really be upset with Jim and his decisions. No one wants to play on this team as long as Kobe is there. I watch the same dynamics on many playing levels as a basketball official. It is what it is…as they say….

Retire please Kobe…its a young mans sport.

  32. julian says:

Let them be. Kobe needs to retire

  33. Gerry says:

New York made LIn! But Lin and boozer can make lakers better once they retire Kobe because Kobe was only being selfish just to catch up Michael Jordan ! It’s obvious, you was a horrible player, Kobe. Shaq and Phil Jackson made u look good and gasol too. If anything, Lin should come to brooklyn though. Brooklyn needs you, Lin

  34. robertelliott says:

Letsgetreal makes some very valid points-but I think we can all agree that his stats for this season were not nearly up to the standard he had set for most of his career. So, if one is to be logical about the situation, Kobe next year coming off yet another injury and naturally a year older and a year away from the NBA, will probably have even worse stats than this year and probably hit the front rim with his shots even more so than he has done so this year. One thing about Kobe was that most of his misses in years past were close misses-which is the mark of a great shooter-his shots now are often “bad” misses which tells me he is certainly not the same Kobe. Sorry to say, but it gets worse and not better as one ages. Kobe, like most incredible sport figures, will continue to have the ego but will never have the ability to match. This is very much the same reason why great old boxers get knocked out so very easily-the inability to be just one of the crowd and go along your merry way is far too hard for that once gifted athlete.

  35. KT says:

Winning or losing is on the coach, players just play.
If you cannot handle the Mustang, STAY IN YOUR YARIS!. Don’t take the driver seat, coach. Many NCAA teams can use your miserable coaching, coach.

  36. sports fan says:

If anybody wants to get on these guys then Jeremy Lin actually wasn’t part of the clowning around & was able to finish his interview. The other guy to goof off was Boozer when he muggged for the camera in the beginning. I think it’s fine for these guys to clown around afterwards, especially if they had fun getting a win in overtime. The team seems to be loose and fun when Kobe’s not playing. Kobe really needs to lighten up.

  37. stop it says:

I’m not even a Laker fan and I get mad at seeing them celebrate like its a championship. You can have all the fun you want but at the end of the day you are in the NBA, you get paid millions to win not to have fun. Right now the Lakers are one of the worst teams in the league, so instead of celebrating their 14th win they should be thinking about how to win the next one. Just another example of how soft and uncompetitive most NBA players have become, its all about making max money and partying it up, win or lose.

  38. harriethehawk says:

    Swaggy P is foolish.

  39. joe fields says:

Vlaid….Holding who back? The only talent that the lakers have is jordan hill and booz Jeremy lin is garbage nick young worries about the spotlight to much so having some more descent players around kobe would be a whole different ball game.

  40. Michael says:

The reason why Kobe cannot be as great as MJ, is simply because he doesn’t enjoy the game. And his arrogance makes him a bad leader. At the end, no one enjoys playing alongside him, and no one is following is lead willingly. Lakers would not win another title until Kobe is gone.

  41. guest69 says:

I would be mad too. These guys are representing a professional team, they act like they just came from a party acting all drunk and stupid. I’m sure they got reprimanded by the management team.

  42. dhunte says:

Kobe is a cocky gerk. No good players wanna be on his team anymore. He’s also a former rapist. total ball hog. and yes shaq was a 3x finals mvp 00-2 for a good reason. This team has really fallen off the grid without GASOL, who left because of Kobe’s blame game interviews in the playoffs past. I don’t understand why guys like Kobe and Carmelo are always put on a pedestal. Who cares if you score 25 a game. Learn how to be an ultimate team player… like the guys in the ATL.

  43. clip says:

do us all a favor , kobut, you are tired.retire. go clips

  44. khaus pim bryant says:

They should make commemorative t-shirts and hats to celebrate the win. Maybe a banner to hang next to the championship banners.

    • JOSE (CLIPPER NATION) says:

Don’t forget the rings! And a downtown LA parade. I wan’t Swaggy P to get on top of the bus and tell the Angelenos that he guarantees that the Lakers will win another 1 game next season and that a promise.

  45. The Truth says:

Would you like to talk to Kobe or should I? …Oh, no, we out… LMAO!!!!

  46. Lakeshow4life says:

Kobe can’t win with these guys. It’s like having the same roster when Smush Parker & and Kwame Brown was on the Lakers. When I mean win, I mean, winning a championship.. Kobe won many regular season games.. With or without the team.. (81 points.) I have never seen Kobe celebrate this hard like, Nick Young and Jordan Hill did. Kobe admitted to wanting to have better role players on the team, but still won’t take a pay cut probably due to the front office of Mitch Kupchak and Jim Buss. Even Lebron can’t carry to this Lakers team to the championship, and not just 50 wins in the regular season and get eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Let Kobe be in a Cavs uniform and see how far he goes with that roster. Probably would win his 6th championship.

  47. Lovet says:

with all respect to his legacy, Kobe can go hell
if he doesn’t want to see his teammates happy without “HIS PERMISSION”
I now hate the Lakers because of this guy’ arrogance.
    STFU.

  48. Kevin says:

I would love to see Kobe back! He will face the kinds of Harden, Curry, Thompson, and many other super and young stars they will make Kobe ridiculously old, slow and injury prone. During the Warriors-Lakers game last year it was funny to see Kobe moving his head from side to side and not founding who took the ball from him. It was Curry who is not only super fast but an intelligent player. Kobe should be grateful to SHAQ. Without him he would never ever get a championship. This league is not the same like 15 or 20 years ago. New super talented kids are getting into the NBA at a rapid rate .

  49. Stevo says:

Guys, I think the Lakers HAVE THE RIGHT TO CELEBRATE! THis is like a positive motivation for them…Kobe is too serious. I am a big laker fan. Been a fan since i started loving basketball..I learned that being happy of what you accomplished is a positive thing. Lakers should be happy and celebrate but the MUST be ready for the next game

  50. daniel says:

Kobe never likes a win without him playing, he would start blame game for any loss with him playing. The first 25 or so losses could have been avoided if not because of Kobe’s missing shots after shots, his ball hogging, his being allowed to play too many minutes, Kobe had been very good, almost the best for many years, but simply not since 2, 3 years ago. definitely not now, He should be open enough to allow other young players to perform, instead of trying to curtail them for reasons ranged from his ego and self-centredness. Let it go Kobe, leave your a good name, which you deserve.

  51. dragon says:

there is nothing wrong with that, they won and they feel happy about that, unless they lost and acting like that then i can understand bryant’s response … kobe bryant still think he is the center of the universe, unfortunately many nba fans also believe that

  52. Basketball Fan says:

The ones who should be having that expression are Kobe’s team mates? Why? Because after hogging the money that should have been segregated to acquire good players, he had the balls to injure himself and complain while sitting on his high chair. Sheesh. He does not only hog the ball but he also hog the money. I know it’s not his fault his body is already weak but MY GAWD!! stop comlaining on everything. What a waste…

  53. 250rninja says:

So they’ve been losing and finally win a tough won in overtime. No problem celebrating, why not? Doing it during an interview on national tv probably not a good idea though. I’m happy they won one. They are not going to make the playoffs so let them celebrate this small victory. Kobe? who cares what he thinks. He’s costing us laker fans 20 million a year and not giving us anything in return. Like Steve Nash, just please retire so we can use that money to sign young talent and get back to a playoff team.

    • purnoble3 says:

So when has it been the smart thing to take a paycut? If your boss comes to you and says hey will you take 9 dollars an hr in order to bring someone else in let’s see if you do it. Lol ppl kill me with that argument. Get your money mamba because NBA owners are getting their portion. Jerry buss would have never through this group of immature players to the lakers. We are champions and that is the morale but you can tell these guys are focused more on the lifestyle rather than the biggest goal.

  54. Mr.Jordan says:

three bums and carlos boozer do not have the maturity to react like that over a win over boston of all people. Mamba is proven these guys are pad. move along…

  55. Kome the Black Dumba says:

Next time noone celebrate before we ask Kome!

The Lakers had a scrub season, they are down but should their spirit be down? Why does our money man Kome not with the team but instead “healthy” enough to go to a talk show?

I agree they shouldn’t fool around “that” much but the question is why Kome is not resting his dumb knee and went to a show? If he is healthy enough should he stay on the bench and be the captain like he is suppose to be?

Oh, our beloved spoiled Vino. You never stop amaze me.

  56. Tolga says:

This clip tells everything. Kobe is basically running a daycare for 5 year olds… I’d be jacking up 25+ shots too if I was forced to work with these clowns..

  57. Kome the Black Dumba says:

Man, this is one bad bottle of vino. Spoiled everything.

Can’t wait till the Lakers are not lead by a snake. Time will come true Laker fans! Be patience!

  58. jcjc0127 says:

    Attn: KB24
No matter how those guys celebrate, it should not even be your matter anyway. You shouldn’t even make any comment. Seriously, did you even play the game?
Your negativity shows that you don’t even possess a bit of quality of a true basketball legend. If I have to rank the top 50 NBA players, you wouldn’t be in it all. How good were you anyway if Phil & coaching staff, Shaq, PAU, Bynum, Artest, Odom, Rice, Fisher, Horry were there to help you win 5 rings?
Come on, you are not even close in comparison with Jordan. For you to win the 6th ring, try to be a real supporting cast on a team and get rid of your ego…otherwise, forget about it.
    Where is your leadership quality?
Because no matter whether the team wins or not, you still complain. What a shame to have Lakers make you a legend…
When you are injured and you still inject negative energy, it shall be time for the team to move you.

  59. tapk69 says:

That was very unprofessional by the Lakers players , i understand they want to celebrate a win but they are one of the worst teams in the whole league and their season is already lost . It looks like they won a playoff series in a best of seven but no , they just beat the also terrible Celtics squad.

A guy like Kobe just works and works until he wins it all , he would never do that in a post-game interview .

Kobe is in the top5 players of all time so stop with the hate messages , since you cant take his 5 rings, numerous records and insane highlights to show your kids 30 years from now .

  60. Patrick Fav says:

Vlad Putin you sound stupid and I caught the KOBA from the planet of the apes shot too. Why don’t you put them bombs down, learn the essence of American Basketball. This man is 2nd only to Michael Jordan all time as far as Great Players. That’s saying a lot considering the many legends in the different eras. Last I checked riding camels was not a sport so before you put down or force out someone that has contributed greatly to the game of Basketball. Get through an airport without visits from Airport Security. Ignorant Sand ……

  61. JOSE (CLIPPER NATION) says:

Keep playing Kobe, haters don’t want to see you break anymore records. 5 rings is a big deal. A lot of players can’t even get one their whole career.

  62. Jim Muncy says:

If you can’t feel good about winning, quit playing the game. Here is the way it works. You feel good when you win. You feel bad when you lose. You don’t feel good tonight for last night’s win and you don’t feel bad tonight for last night’s loss. If you are going to feel bad even if you win, then you are nothing but a hired hand. Pay me the money and I will do the work. That good feeling of winning has to still be there even in a disastrous season or you won’t go for the win. You will just give up and quit trying when the season is a lost cause. Is that what you want these young guys to do?

  63. JOSE (CLIPPER NATION) says:

Oh yeah as for the celebration, this is the best this group of guys can do as a team. 1 victory out of this squad is a great accomplishment and they should be proud they got a win. The next ten or 20 game they’ll lose, so they may as well enjoy a brief winning experience. Ok moving on each player had a chance this season and last to make a name for themselves and earn a big contracts. They wasted the opportunity or they simply don’t have what it takes to be like Mamba who has 5 rings. I’m sure all these guys are great off the court but as a team well the team record speaks for itself. I think that these guys at best can be a great second unit backups.

  64. alice says:

wow… kobe forgot how immature he was back in the days… remember the radio interviews of wanting out of the lakers kobe?…

  65. usiak says:

This is all about generation. Can you even imagine MJ, Kobe, Karl Malone, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash or anybody from the Legends in this situation? There are all the kids grown in era of internet. I hate this plastic’funny Young, he will never be a legen, just an bad actor and star imitation. “swag”

  66. GRENADIAN LIONKING HEAVY DEE says:

THIS TEAM WAS NO BETTER WITH KOBE ON IT MONTHS AGO, SO HE SITING THERE ACTING AS IF HE WAS THERE THEY WOULD BE IN THE PLAYOFFS AND HE ALONE IS THE TEAM IS JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE HOW HE KILLS PLAYER MORAL AND EXALTS HIMSELF. HE NEEDS TO SAY THANKS TO SHAQ, R. HORRY AND D REST FOR THEM RINGS AND LEARN B-BALL IS A TEAM SPORT.ASK. ATL HAWKS. HE WAS NOTHING B4 SHAQ AND P.JACKSON. REMEMBER THAT PLAY MJ VS KARL MALONE IN D FINALS WHERE THE G.O.A.T CALL OVER STEVE KERR AND SAID ….THEY WILL DOUBLE TEAM ME I WILL GIVE U THE SHORT U WILL MAKE I. TEAMS WIN GANES. KOBE SHOULD GO PLAY TENNIS. LOL. HE IS AN NBA GREAT, DID MANY GREAT THINGS, NO DISPUTE THERE BUT THE ATTITUDE AND EGOTISTIC ACTIONS NEEDS SOME COACHING.LOL. THEY WON A GAME LET THEM ENJOY THE MOMENT! BEEN A WHILE SINCE THEY WON A GAME. SMILE GUYS. YOU WOULD HAVE BEE HAPPY TO. KOBE SHOULD BE HAPPY FOR THEM TO.

  67. drago says:

Those young guys are all he has on that team and as far as i see this is even worse than Jordan in Washington for Kobe.

    1) All the participants have been shown the door by the organization with little chance of being a Laker next year
    2) They are being forced to play ‘team’ ball by dumping games and decreasing their perceived value in the process.

Celebrating is an appropriate response to these working conditions and small price to pay by the Lakers org to keep their #1 draft pick.

that may have been a valid comment before the five NBA championships he helped bring to los Angeles, too late homie……

Kobe is the last of a dying breed. No one has his competitive fire in the L anymore. The Lakers are one of the worst teams in the league .They have no shot at the playoffs. I would think they could take the energy they used to celebrate a pointless win to improve thier games. Smh..

  72. Rhoy says:

Kobe should retire now. Once he comes back from surgery he will be a laughing stock in the NBA. He is a ball hugger. He always ruins the designed plays. He plays for himself and for the records. Let’s face it Kobe your time has come and this is your time to quit.

    Kobe,leave already..

  75. Mike says:

There is a reason that Kobe has the respect of all the great legends of the past.
Jordan believes Kobe is one of the best players of all time… Random fools posting comments on here vs the G.O.A.T.. I think MJ is probably right about Kobe gentlemen. He isn’t the same Kobe but at age 75 he will still be better then the garbage that wears a Lakers uniform right now.

It’s easy to see who the real lakers fans are… A real Lakers fan.. actually any real basketball fan would admit and respect the greatness that Kobe has shown over his career. Kobe is an ultimate competitor just like Jordan. Imagine if the Bobcats acted this foolish after winning a pointless game in a wasted season… Jordan would probably walk on the court and fire them on the spot. There is no room for that level of immaturity in professional sports.
