NBA legends, players chime in on Curry’s run

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — Two games into the Western Conference finals, the Golden State Warriors have a 2-0 lead over the Houston Rockets as the series moves from Oakland to Houston. And through those games, the Warriors have been led by the league’s MVP, Stephen Curry, who despite being the focus of the Houston defense has managed to score 77 points through two games, including shooting a ridiculous 11-for-22 on three-pointers. Steve Nash is one of the NBA’s greatest three-point shooters ever, but as he noted yesterday in a Reddit AMA, Nash believes Curry is a better shooter than he ever was.

How does Curry do it? Last night on NBA TV’s GameTime, Nets guard Jarrett Jack, a former teammate of Curry’s, made a guest appearance and talked about exactly what makes Curry so tough…

Also, Kobe Bryant took to Twitter and explained the riddle of defending Stephen Curry…in 140 characters or less…

All that aside, when you’re able to do stuff like Curry does in the Vine below, how you defend the dude may not matter…

  1. Bill says:

I would have loved to have seen John Walls and Curry go at it in the best of 7 playoffs. Walls may be the only player who has the quickness and speed to hang w/ Curry. Maybe next year. The Wizards big men left a lot to be desired.

  2. Chris says:

I know Wall is fast, but even he will have trouble checking Curry. I never seen anyone with a shooting stroke that fast and also be a play maker. Give him a split second, and curry will have gotten a shot off.

  3. juancho says:

my idol curry is the best shooter i ever seen in basketball…just continue what u have the atitude more mvp idol, goodluck golden state warriors 2015 nba champion,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  4. Dawei hao says:

Seeing all the tightly contended 3’s that Stephen Curry makes, sometimes I wonder how much of them he could make if he just jacks up over 40 shots a game, I’m sure he would make at least 45% on average, 50%+ on good nights. It would be something special to see.
