Zach LaVine pulls off free throw dunk

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — Pick-up basketball games are a great place to try something new. These are things that may or may not even be legal to try in an actual NBA game, but instead this can be a workshop environment where you can practice something that could be useful for your game down the road. We’ve already seen Jamal Crawford doing awesome stuff in the Seattle Pro-Am, but here’s another Seattle native, NBA Slam Dunk champion Zach LaVine, this weekend in the Seattle Pro-Am.

LaVine got sent to the free throw line, and he tried something that I don’t think I’ve seen before: The free throw dunk. It’s clearly illegal — the ball has to hit the rim — but it’s also definitely entertaining…

Looked like a lane violation to me… Clearly the 2nd coming of Gerald Green! This dude will eventually win 7th man of the year award.
