Wesley Matthews takes NBA/scooter connection to next level

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — Just recently we saw yet another NBA player hit a shot — this time it was Amir Johnson — while on one of those self-balancing scooters. This made Johnson the latest in a long line of players to show off their prowess on a self-balancing scooter. But now new Dallas guard Wesley Matthews has taken the self-balancing scooter to the next level, and posted a couple of videos showing what it would be like if someone used one to actually do basketball moves. Here’s Matthews using a self-balancing scooter to run a pick-and-roll, and then using a the scooter for a mid-range post-up. These are against imaginary defenders, sure, but I imagine a defender on a self-balancing scooter wouldn’t have much more luck…

I’m surprised that coming off an injury he would do something like this. Still, looks pretty smooth
