Paul George drops Nik Stauskas with crossover

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — While we argue about how well Paul George‘s comeback is going, PG just keeps going out and putting up great performances.

And last night, when the Pacers played the Sixers, Paul George dropped Sixers guard Nik Stauskas with a nasty crossover dribble. Now, to be completely fair, if you look closely it appears that George steps on Stauskas’s foot, which is what causes Stauskas to fall like a tree. Still, George got ’em.

And yet, George MISSED the shot…why is this “highlight” of George stepping on Stauskas’s foot and then missing the shot being circulated so much? Bizarre.

    • Toan says:

Totally agreed. Their feet got tangled. That’s not even a crossover.

      • Ryan says:

Obviously! You watch Stauska’s arms, and his first reaction is looking for a call. Still a good move for a bigger guy, but nothing worth a whole page on.

How is Lang Whitaker allowed to post? The man doesn’t even know what getting crossed means.

  3. Liam says:

I know Philly don’t have much to shout about just yet (watch this space) but a whole page to someone getting their feet stood on… come on.

  4. t00n says:

    Come on Lang. Come on.

On another note, this looks worse knowing these guys haven’t won a game.

    NBA.com = Click Bait 2015? Please talk about basketball. This isn’t even a highlight…

  6. PacerFan says:

You all are not fully understanding that this video was posted on this page to show what Paul George is doing, and how he is recovering quite well from his broken leg. Even though this wasn’t exactly a crossover it is still good to see Paul George back and healthy

  7. Nate says:

    my goodness…..no way.

  8. Kyle says:

    Mr. Whitaker,

You better apologize to Stauskas as there was no dropping or crossing over. George stepped on his foot and pushed back which caused a fall. That should have been a charge. Shame on you for the headline.

  9. Huh? says:

So then, if he stepped on him, he didn’t exactly cross him up.

What’s the point of this post?

  10. andyc says:

This is super lame. Stepping on someones foot and them falling doesn’t count. How is this guy allowed to manage a blog. So many good crossovers out there worth watching. This not being close to posting material. Disappointing for sure.

  11. Tom says:

Nothing against the Sixers should count as an accomplishment.

A guy scores 50 on the Sixers? Big deal. 60? Who cares. Sixers are a disgrace the way they are running their organization and I feel sympathy for the fans in Philadelphia for having to put up with such a terrible ownership group.

They will probably end up trading Okafor/Noel when they realize in 2-3 years there is no chance they will ever want to re-sign in free agency. What’s the point of tanking if the players you draft HATE playing for the team?

  12. Joshua says:

This is NOT a crossover…. Don’t waste our time with this kind of garbage.

  13. Staygolden_IE says:

MAN, he got crossed up by a weak move, but he had a bad defensive posture that lead to this propaganda.

    GO SPURS GO!!

  14. toto says:

this what you called a missed crossover moved together with a foot tangled.

  15. David says:

this is worse that Yahoo! fake news. Not a crossover if that how people are breaking ankles now then i can break anyone’s ankles too.

  16. Kevin says:

Lang usually off with his analysis, I don’t expect better from him.

  17. chris says:

    worst post of all time?

  18. Jack says:

Your headline “PAUL GEORGE DROPS NIK STAUSKAS WITH CROSSOVER”

Then you wrote “Now, to be completely fair, if you look closely it appears that George steps on Stauskas’s foot, which is what causes Stauskas to fall like a tree.”

Followed by “Still, George got ’em.”

No, no. no. No, he didn’t because “Now, to be completely fair, if you look closely it appears that George steps on Stauskas’s foot, which is what causes Stauskas to fall like a tree.”
