Jonas Valanciunas got his cast signed by Kobe

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — The Kobe Bryant “Don’t Call This A Farewell Tour” Tour stopped in Toronto last night. And while Kobe has asked opposing teams to please not make sure a big deal out of his final games in each city, it’s understandably tough to just pretend like it’s just another game. So the Raptors played it normal during pregame introductions, but later on, via DeMar DeRozan, they gave Kobe a gift of a customized hat and sneakers…

But the coolest gift may have come from Kobe himself. Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas is out with a broken hand, and as such missed his chance to play against Bryant in his final NBA game up north. But, as Valanciunas tweeted, he did manage to get Kobe to commemorate the occasion…

Gotta note that Kobe himself broke JV’s hand LOL

  2. BS says:

It was also Kobe who broke Jonas’ hand. So everything comes full circle.

This is likely to be the coolest piece of NBA memorabilia that Jonas will ever possess, and part of that is because of the painful story behind it.
Sure hope his hand heals well, we are going to need him down the stretch in this year’s much-improved Eastern conference.

And to the Twitter comments that think this will end up on eBay…. grow a brain!

these are the kinds of things i like to see in basketball. kobe breaks Jv’s hand in the game, but what happens on the court stays on the court. no hard feelings! sportsmanlike move by the Mamba😀
