Kristaps Porzingis wins over crying Knicks fan

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — One of the most memorable moments of the 2015 NBA Draft came when the New York Knicks used the fourth overall pick on a little-known Latvian named Kristaps Porzingis. Many of the fans there in Brooklyn at the Draft hadn’t seen Porzingis play and, when his name was called, they welcomed him to NYC with a chorus of boos. And on the telecast of the Draft, cameras focused on a young Knicks fan who appeared to be on the verge of tears over the selection.

Fast forward to today, and Porzingis has been one of the best and most important pieces for the Knicks this season, and has the city buzzing over his potential like few athletes before him.

Porzingis has won over fans, including, apparently, the kid who wasn’t a fan on draft night, who now wears a Porzingis jersey to games…
