POSTERIZED POLL Week of Dec. 24

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — Like we always do at this time, let’s take a look at the best instances of people getting #POSTERIZED over the last week and, at the bottom of the post, you can place your vote for a winner. And don’t forget, if you see someone get posterized, tweet it with the hashtag #POSTERIZED so we don’t miss it!

Special shoutout this week to Kristaps Porzingis, who may be a rookie but still had the presence of mind last night to duck out of the way of LeBron James to avoid getting #POSTERIZED. And even then he still ended up in the picture…

It’s the holiday season, so someone give a big present to last week’s winner, DeAndre Jordan!

Plenty of great entries this week. Let’s go to the posters, and don’t forget to vote for the winner…

  1. Don Da Dunk Watcha says:

Justise Winslow with 25.97% was ok but he took way too many steps. He took like 5. That invalidates the dunk. I voted for Alex Burks. That dude took the elevator, not to the top floor, but to the roof then climbed the tower on the roof and opened a ladder and stood on that top rail they tell you not to stand on, then dunked on that fool.

please explain to me how demar derozens dunk on gobert isn’t on this. he legit postered him straight on… confused…

    Best DUNK : Alec Burks

I watched this “live” on TV, it was stunning. Incredible leap! Early Vince Carter-esque.

    Best POSTERIZATION : Steven Adams

My “personal definition” of posterization or posterized (neither of which are “real” words according to my spell check!) MUST include a defender ACTIVELY trying to defend the dunk…. so if a player blows by a defender and dunks it, it is not really a true posterization. Same if the defender tries to get out of the way and gives up the dunk (he removes himself from the “picture”, or tries to).

Now when that defender is “the king” LeBron James – and he actively tries to defend the complete play – and he STILL gets posterized…. that is a little more special. It becomes more than just another incredible leap.
And that is what Steven Adams did.

Winslow took 6 steps. I don’t know why they are trying so hard to hype him up when Stanley Johnson is playing better than him.

    Chris Bosh!!!!
