Stephen Curry really wanted Jordan Spieth to win The Masters

ALL BALL NERVE CENTERStephen Curry has become one of the most popular players in the NBA today, and Curry’s popularity is so strong that it can be easy to forget that Curry also has athletes and people he roots for. Golf, for instance, is one of Curry’s main hobbies, and one of his favorite golfers is last year’s Master’s champ Jordan Spieth.

Steph is such a fan, in fact, that he tweeted his support for Spieth a few days ago…

This year at the Masters, things started out pretty good for Spieth! In fact, despite some minor trouble on Saturday afternoon, Spieth went into Sunday’s final round with the lead. And he was playing well on Sunday, until he got to the back 9, when things suddenly weren’t going so well…

There went Spieth’s lead, and there went his chance for back-to-back wins at The Masters.

Meanwhile! Down in San Antonio, just as Spieth was giving up the lead, the Warriors were warming up to face the Spurs. Andre Iguodala, another avid golfer, apparently saw Spieth’s collapse and ran out to the court to let Curry know things weren’t going so well, a moment that was caught on tape…
