Saturday Night Live has been known throughout its history for not only touching on the news of the day, but also for holding up a mirror to how the culture responds to certain events. So it’s no surprise that the show led its broadcast last night with this parody sketch about Jeremy Lin, the obsession with wordplay using his name, and how the issue of race has played a part in the coverage:
Pretty sharp satire from the Not Ready For Primetime players. If Lin keeps up his play, I’m wondering if he might find himself with some hosting duties before too long.
