Frank Kaminsky has caught March Madness

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — This time one year ago, Frank Kaminsky was an important member of the Wisconsin men’s basketball team that was in the process of winning their way to a NCAA Championship Game appearance. These days, of course, Kaminsky plays in the NBA for the Charlotte Hornets, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still follow the Badgers. Last night, Wisconsin qualified for a trip to the Sweet 16 with a last-second buzzer beater against Xavier. Luckily, someone had a camera on Kaminsky as the shot went up…and in!

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — You know how when you go to Starbucks, they ask for your name and then write your name on the side of the cup so you can find your drink once it’s ready? Over the weekend, Charlotte Hornets forward Frank Kaminsky went to Starbucks, placed his order, and either picked up the wrong order or got a barista who wasn’t sure how to spell “Frank”…

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — Like we always do at this time, let’s take a look at the best instances of people getting #POSTERIZED over the last week and, at the bottom of the post, you can place your vote for a winner. And don’t forget, if you see someone get posterized, tweet it with the hashtag #POSTERIZED so we don’t miss it!

This week the Posterized Poll is dedicated to the patron saint of POSTERIZING, the great Dikembe Mutombo. Tonight the Atlanta Hawks host the Boston Celtics (8:00 p.m. EST, TNT), and during a special ceremony the Hawks will retire Mutombo’s number 55 jersey. Mutombo had plenty of highlights during his time with the Hawks, as you can see in the video below.

Frank Kaminsky thinks Michael Jordan could beat him 1-on-1

VIDEO: Kaminsky vs MJ

ALL BALL NERVE CENTERFrank Kaminsky may only be an NBA rookie, but he clearly understands how to keep his bosses happy. In a recent appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, Kaminsky was asked how he would fare in a game of 1-on-1 against Hornets owner Michael Jordan, who is probably the greatest basketball player of all-time, but who is also 52 years old. And while Kaminsky would have a size and age advantage over Jordan, the competitive edge would probably, even now, still belong to Jordan. So who would win in a game of one-on-one?

Patrick: “You think you could take him one-on-one?”

Kaminsky: “No. I wouldn’t want to try.”

Patrick: “Oh! Of course you would!”

Kaminsky: “I don’t think I would.”

Patrick: “Like, you don’t want to beat one of your heroes, is that what you’re saying?”

Kaminsky: “No, I’m saying the opposite: I don’t want to lose.”

Patrick: “Oh, you could take Jordan! You better be able to beat Jordan.”

Kaminsky: “See, that’s what you would think.”

Patrick: “Now, he thinks he could beat you.”

Kaminsky: “Yeah, I think he could beat me, too, so…”

Frank Kaminsky busts a move in Shanghai

By Jeff Case

The Charlotte Hornets have made the most of their trip to China for their two preseason games against the Los Angeles Clippers. From the shopping trip Al Jefferson and Marvin Williams took to GM Rich Cho trying out some of the local cuisine, Charlotte embraced this trip fully.

So, how do the rookies get into the mix? Glad you asked. The Hornets held a dance-off for their rookies in Shanghai during a fan-appreciation night and to put it mildly, Frank Kaminsky stole the show …

Karl-Anthony Towns asks Frank Kaminsky: What Are Thooooose?

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER — We have yet to roll out all of our edited “Lang and the Rookies” videos from last week’s Rookie Photo Shoot, but sometimes you can’t stop the content. While Charlotte rookie Frank Kaminsky and I were getting prepared to talk, Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns came crawling in from behind to drop the popular internet “What are thooose?” meme on Kaminsky. Somehow I get caught in the crossfire on this one. I have to say, though, impressive crawling skills from Towns…
