George Karl busts a tune with The Original Wailers

by Zettler Clay IV

While the frontcourt of the Nuggets are hard at work on Western Conference domination, head coach George Karl finds time to pal around with the Original Wailers (formed by Bob Marley):

This is the reverse of what happened to Charles Barkley a couple of weeks ago, when he was saved by the iconic Boyz II Men at karaoke.

From musing about the greatest defender he’s ever coached to being invited on stage by a legendary (in this writer’s estimation) Jamaican band, Karl is living the life.

George Karl plays the man on the street

by Micah Hart

This video puzzles me a little, mostly because I have no idea who Daniel Kennedy or Adventure Mix TV is, yet George Karl supposedly saw him on the street and requested an audience. Perhaps it’s a Denver thing?

I’m with Coach Karl a lot in this interview – why should he expect people to be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day if it’s not yet St. Patrick’s Day? Also, Mongolian BBQ is delicious.

I have to say, I am totally clueless as to what kind of person Karl is. Sometimes he seems like a guy who would be a complete curmudgeon, but then he’ll do an interview like this and seem like a totally affable fellow. If nothing else, at least I know we agree on build-your-own Chinese food venues.
