We’re all passengers on the Jeremy Lin train right now, and what a smooth ride it is. There are very few things more refreshing in sports than unforeseen success stories, and while it’s very early to say whether or not Lin has carved out a permanent spot for himself in the Knicks starting lineup let alone the zeitgeist, he is certainly off to a fantastic start.
Speaking of his success, part of what makes his story unique is his time at that noted institute of higher learning in Massachusetts, Harvard, or as I like to call it, “The Texas of Cambridge”.
How did he get into Harvard anyway? I’m glad you asked, because Lin made a video for all prospective students of the future on how to increase your chances of admission:
Interestingly enough, I myself applied to Harvard back in the day, and my application essay was a hypothetical debate I had with myself about whether or not I should go to Harvard or declare for the NBA Draft. I guess if I had worn glasses, things might have turned out better (just kidding – Texas forever!).
